Our Homestead architectural style is based on a traditional look including a cedar shake roof. As alternative roofing materials become available, the Architectural Control Committee reviews them for their aesthetic representation in harmony with hand-split cedar shake and add them as a complementary roofing alternative. The ACC also offers a couple of products that represent the look of hand-hewn slate in keeping with a traditional look.
