Overview for Front Doors

This is a compilation of information on these design elements to be informative to the ACC specialists approving applications for these elements. This works in concert with the other materials and the Residential Improvement Guidelines.

ANY EXTERIOR CHANGE IS SUBJECT TO ACC APPROVAL, regardless of the below.

Front Entry

Style Boards – All front door styles are Traditional paneled doors and must be painted only one color. Stained wood doors are allowed on monochromatic homes ONLY.

ACC will allow wood or fiberglass doors. Have approved Therma True fiberglass doors.

The grids on the door windows must be external and painted the door color.

Be careful because some manufactured doors have the “simulated” grids inside the glass and those grids are white no matter what the door color is. Not a desirable look and not approved.

Obscure Glass — ACC allows seedy or seeded glass. There are a couple of samples of glass in the HOA office. Most types of obscure glass are too modern for our community.

Sidelights – Should match with the door style and have external grids painted to match the color of the sidelight panel.

Storm Doors

Full view with interchangeable window and screen, or full view with retractable screen. No vertical lines or design allowed.

Storm doors need to match the color of the front door.

Given some manufacturers will not uphold product warranty if the door is painted, those storm doors must be black or white with door to match. If the product can be factory painted, the colors must be submitted and approved.
