This is a compilation of information on these design elements to be informative to the ACC specialists approving applications for these elements. This works in concert with the other materials and Residential Improvement Guidelines.
ANY EXTERIOR CHANGE IS SUBJECT TO ACC APPROVAL, regardless of the below.
Storage Addition (in lieu of a shed)
Free-standing and prefab sheds are not approved.
Additions may be put on side or back of home, becoming an extension of the house. Must match home in material, design and colors. Must match material it is up against (brick or siding). If the siding on the house is positioned horizontally, then the siding on the addition should be hung horizontally (some homes have vertical siding, in that case the shed should have vertical siding). Roofs on these accessory buildings should match pitch and be the same material as the house roof. Doors and windows should be complimentary in style to those on the home.
Any additions must be painted the same as the house paint colors.
