New ACC Application Process

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve updated the Residential Improvement Guidelines (RIGs) to make it simpler for you to make certain improvements.

We’re excited to share that for several common projects, you no longer need to submit an application for approval before starting work—as long as your project meets the guidelines outlined in these RIGs. These updates are designed to save you time while still keeping our neighborhood looking great.

Projects that no longer require pre-approval include:

  • Address Numbers
  • Air Conditioning Equipment
  • Driveways
  • Gutters
  • Lights and Lighting
  • Mailboxes
  • Radon Mitigation Systems
  • Solar Panels

To help us keep accurate records (as required by Colorado law), you’ll still need to complete a Notice of Exterior Change Form after your project is finished. This form, along with before-and-after photos, should be submitted to the ACC within two weeks of completion to show your project aligns with the RIGs. Copies of the RIGs and the Notice of Exterior Change Form are attached; and can also be found on the HOA website, www.homesteadinthewillows.org.

PLEASE make sure you read the RIGs thoroughly and adhere to the specifications. If there is ANY question, please contact the ACC office prior to commencing the project. We appreciate your help in keeping our community beautiful and well-maintained!
